After holding a series of senior leadership and managerial roles during his successful 21-year career as a Commissioned Officer in the British Army, Michael has been involved with project and programme planning and implementation within the defence, resilience and national security environments. Currently Director with Global Resilience, Michael was the principal design consultant for the multi-agency National Olympic Co-ordination Centre in London’s New Scotland Yard during the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. More recently he drafted the safety and security concept of operations for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. As well as developing SCC Global as a world class consultancy, he is currently working on command, coordination and communication projects around the globe, including in Africa and the Middle East.

In addition to being an executive Director for Global Resilience, Mike was the account lead for the design of a national command, coordination and communications architecture in Brazil for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

In May 2012, Mike completed the delivery of the National Olympic Security Coordination Centre as an operational capability, to within time, cost and quality parameters. Responsibilities included drafting the national olympic security doctrine for the Olympic Security Directorate and Olympic Police Coordination Team.

21 years experience of leadership and project management in the Britsish Army in dynamic operational environments. Commanded a 250 strong unit on operations and led the programme to deconstruct all South Armagh military infrastructure as part of the political/military strategic operation to support the security normalisation of Northern Ireland between 2005-2007.
